Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) is a globally ranked technical university, recognised as one of the most innovative institutions in Europe and the Nordic region. DTU’s Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) is a centre of excellence for engineering cell factories and advancing biomanufacturing. Established in 2011, the centre has received major strategic funding from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, supporting its vision to position Greater Copenhagen as a leading biotechnology hub.
DTU Biosustain offers cutting-edge infrastructure including experimental MS-based proteomics and metabolomics, computational biology capabilities, and a dedicated Pre-Pilot facility. The centre is committed to training future leaders in sustainable biotechnology through its dedicated PhD programme. It also has an excellent track record in EU-funded research and training initiatives, including coordination and participation in multiple H2020 MSCA ITNs and Doctoral Networks such as BAcTory, PAcMEN, and MAGic-MOLFUN.
